Samsung S6700 Guide

The Samsung S6700 is a clean, crisp, modern looking slider phone from Samsung. It weighs 105 grams and measures 108 mm x 49.8 mm x 12.7 mm, which are decent dimensions for a phone like this. The screen is 2.4 inches, which is pretty standard when it comes to mobile phones. Beneath the screen are a few call-related buttons and a large navigational button. Once slid open the keys are evenly spaced and have a slight upward angle. You will only be able to pick up the Samsung S6700 in silver.

There is a built-in music player that has 120 mega bytes internal memory. This can of course be increased by using a MicroSD card. All popular music formats are supported, and you will be able to download additional tracks easily. However for some reason there is no FM Radio.

There is a 3 mega pixel camera, with auto focus and an LED flash. Samsung have actually included quite a few advanced camera features such as Smile detection – which takes a picture when someone smiles; geo-tagging, which tags pictures with the location a which they were taken; and image stabilization to ensure that the pictures are never blurry. Samsung have done well with the camera and the picture quality is excellent. If they had included atleast a 5 mega pixel camera then the S6700 would have given most Cybershot phones a re run for their money.

There are the basic applications such as personal organiser, calculator and calendar. Samsung have also included a document viewer for viewing PDF, powerpoint, excel and word documents. These feature is becoming increasingly more popular. There is also GPS navigation.

Internet connectivity is quite fast with GPRS, Edge, HSCSD and 3G. However there is no 3G.

In summary, Samsung have made a great camera phone with the S6700, but have not neglected the other features.
