Not All Weight Loss Programs Are Worth The Cost

Are you trying to lose weight? Many go from diet to diet, looking for a quick way to shed some pounds, are you one of those people? Have you tried diet after diet and are frustrated with the money you have spent with no results? Instead of setting yourself up for multiple failures, why not try doing some research? We have brought together a few of the better programs out there. First we will look at the pro’s and con’s of these programs. If you interested in learning this, then keep reading.

One you might recognize by name is the Slim Fast plan which initially was only a diet drink but has become a full blown weight loss program.

In the US at least the Slim Fast slogan has taken the population by storm with it’s catchy weight loss idea of a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch and a sensible dinner. We can’t really endorse a program that advocates replacing two meals with diet shakes, but lots of people swear that it works. The Slim Fast plan has taken a turn for the better now by offering food and snack bars too. You’ve probably heard about Jenny Craig too, it’s similar in some ways and quite popular too. The reason for this is mainly because of their ads featuring celebrities. The basic premise is that, when you become a member, you eat only “Jenny sanctioned” foods that you can buy at the local Jenny Craig center. Of course you are weighed regularly for progress. It is a great program however it is expensive. Many people dislike the small size of the portions they are allowed to eat. This is often a difficult transition to make even though the program works.

Volumetrics is another program that you may have discovered. Not many people know alot about this one because they’ve kept it pretty much on the down low. The book can be purchased on Amazon.com for around ten dollars.

This program is well liked because of it’s flexibility. You are even allowed to have bacon in this program! Many of the foods in this program are more filling than most other program. That means for you that you’ll eat less and still have plenty of energy.

Weight loss programs are not all built on the same principals. Sadly, many of the weight loss programs on the market not only don’t work well but are solely built on the premise of making a profit off of your desperation to lose weight. Talk to your doctor about any plan you want to try.

If you are looking for a weight loss program that is a good fit for you ask your doctor. Try not to just run out and try a bunch of diet programs in the hopes that something works. Talk to your medical professional first.
